Why is Manny Pacquiao last to hear about switch from HBO to Showtime?

Not as to why the Sugar Shane Mosley-Manny Pacquiao May 7 PPV bout was given to Showtime.CBS or why HBO was unceremoniously dumped but as to why, when longtime TV reporter (ABS-CBN and Inquirer) Dyan Castillejo questioned Congressman Pacquiao about it, he said he was unaware of the big switcheroo.

Pacman may be a busy Congressman but he makes his real living in boxing and is the Pound for Pound king and the sport’s highest paid fighter.

But, according to veteran Pinoy boxing scribe Ronnie Nathanielsz, Pacman had to have the prime cable network change explained to him by agent Michael Koncz.

The question here is was Pacquiao the last to know, or the last to hear about the so-called “seismic change” which saw HBO tossed aside for archrival Showtime?

Nathanielz reports that Pacquiao said “that’s good” when Koncz detailed the change and the reasons for it, including some baloney about how wife Jinkee will be…
