Why Did Floyd Mayweather, Jr. Almost Attack His Father On HBO’s 24/7 Reality Show?

Floyd Mayweather, Jr. has a problem. Or, more specifically, several problems. Either his outburst on Saturday’s night premiere episode of HBO’s 24/7 chronicling the days leading up to his bout with Victor Ortiz proves that he’s a raging lunatic who needs anger-management classes and a few dozen therapy sessions or he’s a self-centered narcissist who would stoop to just about any level to get some attention. Worst case scenario: He’s a little bit of both.

In case you missed it, I’ve provided a clip of Mayweather, Jr.’s outburst below. If you don’t feel like watching, here’s all you need to know: During the course of a seemingly normal conversation with his father Floyd Mayweather, Sr. recently, Floyd, Jr. got pissed off at his father’s belief that he, and not Floyd Jr.’s uncle Roger Mayweather, is the reason behind Floyd, Jr.’s success. At first, the two were playfully joking around about it, until Floyd Jr. decided that it was no longer a joke and tried to attack his father while HBO’s cameras were rolling. A few people gathered in the gym helped keep them apart and cooler heads eventually prevailed, but not before Floyd, Jr. provided one of the most shocking TV moments in recent history.

And to think that Mayweather Junior is asking that people respect his family. H0w can anyone, including his children respect him if he is the model for them to follow. He disrespected his father, disrespected the mother of his kids, disrespected people that he doesn’t like.
