MANILA, Philippines — World welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao will be guaranteed $25 million, the biggest purse of his career, when he faces undefeated American challenger Tim Bradley on June 9 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
Pacquiao’s promoter, Hall of Famer Bob Arum, had told the Manila Bulletin last week that Pacquiao will receive “his biggest guaranteed purse” against Bradley, although the Top Rank chief declined to say exactly how much.
In his last fight with Juan Manuel Marquez of Mexico, the 33-year-old Pacquiao was guaranteed $22 million, plus a share in the pay-per-view sales, gate attendance, and international broadcast rights.
On the other hand, Bradley, 28, a native of Palm Springs, a desert city in Southern California two hours from Los Angeles, will get $5 million for trading blows with the Filipino boxing icon.
Bradley has never earned more than $1 million in his seven-and-a-half years as a boxing pro.
If the pay-per-view and other money-making schemes do well, Pacquiao stands to receive additional more.
The $25-million paycheck is a far cry from the $40,000 that Pacquiao took when, as a super-bantamweight (122 lbs), he made his US debut in June 2001 as a last-minute substitute fighter also at the MGM Grand.
Pacquiao is a heavy favorite to whip Bradley, who has a 28-0-0 win-loss-draw card with 12 knockouts.

I don’t think this fight will have a good number as far as pay per view sale. I understand that Bradley is a good boxer but still he’s a substitute. Marquez deserve this fight better than bradley but lets not forget this is all part of bob arum circus act. This is very disgraceful to the boxing world.

We will just wait and see what the purse is when the Nevada State Athletic Commission makes pacquiao and Bradley purses public after the fight I don’t see pacquiao getting more than a 10$ guarantee Million from bob (the snake) Arum. So we will see the day After the fight. How much Bob gave him. He passed up on 40 million to get embarrassed by the money man hisself. These guys are dirtying up the sport and this won’t get 500000 ppv buys. Golden boy just put Canelo on the Mayweather card… That’s what people will pay to see. I’m piccing Bradley to be Bob new cash cow after June ninth. Paquiao k.o. in the 11th.

You saying he he gets 25 mill on this site. But you forgot the 27.5 percent bob and and his promotion takes out. PAC is going to get 9.5 mill at the most.. Mayweather embarrassed him by putting his numbers out there. (His real numbers) the 4-9 mill range numbers… Yea it’s no purpose in ordering the PAC fight! Watch mayweathers at least you will get a real match and a great undercard. Packs will have bums fighting on his undercard! Cotto is tough opponent and very legit. Canelo is a young strong 21 year old. Mosley is the only person that has rocked Mayweather and had him in shark waters. So I think it will be a great fight. Save your money on this PAC vs Bradley why pay 65.00 bucks I rather buy dominos and sum pinky xxx vids.. You dig???!!!

Only 1 fight… who would you pay for? Mayweather vs. Cotto or Pacquiao vs. Bradley?

Mayweather has by far the tougher fight. Pacquiao’s fighting a boxer with very little punching power while moving up a division so Bradley’s power will be even much less powerful.
Mayweather’s fighting a boxer with almost as much experience than him. This is the same fighter that cut Manny’s ear with power punches.
Cotto also has beaten many more champions than Bradley!!!

I can’t disrespect Bradley. He’s a quality fighter.
Boxing is a tough sport guys. It takes a lot of work to get to the elite level.
God bless Manny and Tim. I hope they have a great fight.

BOYCOTT any Pacquiao and Mayweather PPV fight until they fight each other. Enough of these bulls***t lies by both camps. Perhaps if both of their fights this summer stunk with PPV numbers, then they’ll realized they can’t fool the public anymore with these unwanted matchups!!! DON’T BUY THEIR PPV’s!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

Guess the dumbass at it again. First he said.canello or martinez as the best fighters outhere for gayweather that floydiots want to see.Now he says cotto is an exciting match for mayweather. Didn’t you criticize cotto after he was destroyed by Pacquiao as no longer the same after Margaritto fight? Didn’t you criticize Pacquiao for not fighting a young undefeated champion? Didn’t you criticize pacquiao for fighting Floyd leftovers? Haha you are pathetic! I own you again! Oh. Yes reply to me ducking my questions like Floyd. Bokbokokkkk!
