Pacquiao –Marquez IV: Is it possible?

The blood had yet to dry on the cut over the left eye  suffered by Pacquiao from an unintentional head-butt last night , when the discussion at the post-fight press conference turned to another contest between the two warriors.

Freddie Roach himself was under the opinion that it was a close fight and that Juan Manukla Marquez deserves another shot.

“It was a very close fight. We were able to squeeze it out. I thought the fight was very close but Manny pulled out those last two rounds.  Marquez stayed in counter-punching mode and when the rounds are close I will go with the aggressor.”

Pacquiao’s promoter Bob Arum expressed his opinion that another  immediate rematch be slated;

“My advice to all of the parties involved is for an immediate rematch.  It was a great fight.”

The possibility that the fourth bout going south of the US border to Mexico was mentioned and Arum explained his thoughts on the location, which of course would favor Marquez.

“I do fights in Mexico. There are a lot of angry Mexicans out there. I want a fourth fight. I want to be safe when I go to Mexico,” said Arum with a smiling face.

Marquez seems to be the ying to Pacquiao’s “yang” , these two boxers are the perfect opponents for each other, and Juan discussed just that fact.

“You need to win fights like this with intelligence and I was very intelligent tonight. Styles make fights and I think my style is complicated for his style. I think I won this fight again. What do I need to do before the judges give me the fight?

It was a very good fight which revitalized the careers of both fighters. Marquez has bright opportunities in the 140lb division aside from a 4th rematch with Pacquiao. Pacquiao seems vulnerable now, so he can fight in the 140lb division without question. Floyd might want to get that fight with Manny now while Pacquiao remains unbeaten. Floyd knows that $100M opportunity is wobbly as of now. Also, those asking for a Martinez fight should stfu as Manny seems to have become a regular human being inside the ring. Remember that previously, it seemed that Pac has only two worthy contenders…Floyd or Sergio! Btw, Pacquiao easily won that fight but unfortunately it wasn’t in slowmo.

Definitely but this time, I think that MP is the one who challenge JMM theoretically speaking, but as official TEAM JMM should coordinate to TEAM MP. ^_^ Gratz Manny MABUHAY ka idol!!

i agree with keith. in close rounds i would tend to favor the defending champ and the aggressor at that. jmm should force the issue and not content with countering. if he will continue to do that in case a 4th match is done, he will not get that W against pacquiao. he needs to up the tempo and bring it to pacquiao (not the other way around).

No blood, no fight–Marquez.

I’ll promote the fight in Manila! Why should the Challenger or Arum get his choice .. take it TO the CHAMP!!! That’s why UFC is so popular, Mr. Dana White is SMART enough to take the fights to Brazil or Canada. Don’t settle or bend Mr. Pacquiao .. you’ve EARNED it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You’re a fraud, you know that the judges were wrong in your decision, you should have yourself be honest and not accept the victory, now you have no credibility, you’re a thief and you will go down in history as the greatest thief in boxing

Márquez-Pacquiao IV? what for….?……oh!! I know!! to generate more dishonest money!!!
If you respect the sport and box, you should give the title to JMM. He is the real winner, it is no necessary another fight.
Márque is getting older, do you want to take advantage in that way?

First of all, congratulations, Manny!
I always pray for manny to win on every fight he has. This 3rd fight I saw that Marquez is wearing a Rosary too so I said, God if you want Manny to win make him win. I know Marquez is praying too and he’s religious too. God made Manny win in every one of his fights because He knows He is in Manny’s heart. God will always make Manny win because he is like David in the Bible. He loves God so he made him win over Goliath. God and his Angels is always with Manny. Manny, just keep what you’re doing and just follow all God’s commandments and he will lift you up. Be a role mode to all the people in this entire world. I pray that you only have good friends around you and friends that also love and have fear of God. You are the only boxer that prays inside the ring and I saw that other boxers, too are now praying before they fight. Keep up the good work. God Bless you and your family always!
