Manny Pacquiao Teaming Up with Michael Jordan Would Take Pacman to New Heights

Welterweight champion, Manny Pacquiao is in talks to take his product line from Nike to NBA legend Michael Jordan’s own Nike branch-off, the Jordan Brand.

Pairing up with one of the most well-known sports figures of all time will take Pacquiao’s already enormously successful career to a new level, even after he does eventually retire from boxing.

Hooking up with Nike has given Pacquiao’s career a boost, as his line is big success with his ever-growing fanbase, and adding Jordan’s name anywhere near Pacman’s will be a double threat that would surely boost sales of Pacquiao endorsed merchandise even more.

Fans in Pacquiao’s home country of the Philippines already compare him to Jordan, according to Anthony Jordan president of Creative Talent & Advisory Group, the company heading the talks about switching Pacman over to the Jordan Brand from Nike.

“…the infatuation of sports fans in the Philippines and surrounding areas in Asia with basketball finally hit a ‘marketing tipping point’ when the local media began branding Pacquiao as the so-called ‘Michael Jordan of boxing,’” Gordan said.

Freddie Roach says “Marquez coasted the last 4 rounds because his coach told him they were way ahead. I thought they had the edge, but because he didn’t fight hard the last for rounds they blew it”. So is Freddie Roach admitting that the only reason they won the fight was because Marquez coasted the last for rounds? Is he also admitting that Pacquiao was indeed losing the whole fight up into the end? :) YOU DECIDE.

:) Today, again at the NYC Press Conference for Mayweather vs. Cotto. Mayweather repeated as he always does in everything he says. In yesterday’s conference in Puerto Rico and now in today’s conference in NYC he went on to say “I am not a cheater like Antonio Margarito or Manny Pacquiao.” To me, I am not certain what he is referring to by saying Manny Pacquiao cheated when he fought Miguel Cotto. To me, it can mean one of two things. Either he is still implying in not so many words that Pacquiao uses steroids. Or simply that he is referring to the catchweight that he fought cotto at. But if that’s the case, I don’t see how you can straight up call somebody a cheater simply because he fought somebody at a catchweight. Your Thoughts?
