By Leo Reyes,

In one of my recent articles on (Digital Journal dated September 21) I singled out Timothy Brandley as Manny Pacquiao’s most probable opponent after he is done with Juan Manuel Marquez on November 12.

It seems my prediction is becoming closer to reality as Bradley has finally signed a promotional contract with Bob Arum’s Top Rank Promotions Thursday.  As part of his deal with Top Rank, Bradley will take a main supporting event spot in the upcoming fight between Mexican counter puncher Juan Manuel Marquez and pound for pound king Manny Pacquiao at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Bradley will most likely take on Joel Casmayor, who lost to Juan Manuel Marquez and 2009 via TKO. He likewise lost to Robert Guerrero last year via a unanimous decision but was able to bounce back last March with a split decision over Manuel Leyba.

The 40-year-old Cuban southpaw has fought and won over tough fighters over the last four years including Lamont Peterson, Diego Corrales and Michael Katsids.  It is not certain though if Casmayor would indeed be Bradley’s opponent on his November 12 under card fight as Top Rank has not made the official announcement.  Arum has confirmed Thursday that Bradley has indeed joined Top Rank.  ”He hasn’t been promoted correctly,” Arum said. “We’ll figure out a way, and showing him to the audience we’re most dependent upon — the pay-per-view fans — is a great way to get this moving along.”

If Bradley wins on November 12 and Mayweather continues to make excuses and duck Pacquiao, there is a big chance Bradley will be awarded a lucrative fight with the Filipino boxing superstar, assuming he gets past Casmayor or somebody yet to be named by Top Rank.
