Floyd Mayweather says, “No 50-50 split”

At the New York Press Conference — Floyd Mayweather Jr. says Manny Pacquiao is “not one of the sharpest knives in the drawer” and claims he won’t face him unless his opponent agrees to take less than half the money. How much less he did not state.

While speaking at the news conference Tuesday at the Apollo Theater to promote his May 5th bout against Miguel “I’m No Angel” Cotto for the WBA super welterweight title, Mayweather said of Manny Pacquiao: “He faces Floyd Mayweather, he’s not getting 50-50. Not at all. No one is getting 50-50.”

Floyd Mayweather said the Pacman should “take the test,” a reference to his demand for random drug testing. Pacquiao sued Mayweather for defamation in December 2009, alleging Mayweather falsely accused him of using performance-enhancing drugs.

Just more excuses from Floyd not to fight. After he beats Cotto he will then demand Manny fight him at 154. I’d much rather see Floyd fight Sergio or Canello Because he truly wants no part of Manny, and I’d love to see Floyd get knocked out cold by one of those guys. Sergio will match his speed and Canello’s power and youth will be too much for the woman abuser to handle. Floyd needs and will eventually get the ass whipping he deserves, unfortunately it won’t be Manny to do it since we know Floyd is scared

FLOYD MAYWEATHER SAYS: “The only way I think a fight the guy with three losses and I-don’t-know-how-many draws, the only way that fight happens is he has to leave Bob Arum. And I’m not telling him to leave, because I know how the media is — they take your words and screw them up. They make it the way they want to make it.”

Floyd Mayweather Jr. will be asking the Nevada State Athletic Commission for 8 oz. gloves instead of the normal 10 oz. gloves. Although only 135lbs or below is usually only 8 oz. gloves and anything above 135lbs is 10 oz. gloves, we will see if Mayweather gets his wish.

Floyd, let the commission do their job, let them apply the rules, you dont run the sport. go to the ring and fight!

Floyd Mayweather now tells Pacquiao “$30 million with no back end pay.” So now it went from $40 to $30 million. Guess he never wanted the fight to begin with.

Floyd mayweather does not want the fight and I will tell u y,he is scared of Manny pacquiao he knows Manny will beat him and make Floyd look silly in the ring, the muny should b split 50-50 and here is y Manny is regarded the pound 4pound best boxer on the planet and no1 can say otherwise,2 he keeps goin on bout he doesn’t offer any1 bigger pay checks coz he the best and goes on bout his unbeaten record so if that’s y then y did Oscar dela hoya walk about from there fight with $52million and floyd $25million n Oscar had a record of 30 wins and 4 loses, because Floyd knew Oscar was done and he knows Manny isn’t so who is the coward now Floyd mayweather, grow sum balls and man up ur scared of Manny pacquiao this has heehaw 2 do with bob arum if he wasn’t Manny promoter u still wouldn’t fight him u chicken,u don’t get ur name Floyd chickenweather for nuttn, just hope cotto does u over then ul b biting mannys ARM off for $30million coz u don’t deserve a bigger cut u chicken, then ul come 2 the table coz ur a fake Floyd uv been fed opponents all ur career and only fight the bigger names wen u no they r done which is y u avoiding Manny, and BTW cotto isn’t done so uv made a big mistake there hope he takes ur head clean off

Paul I totally agree with you Floyd is scared and remember he retired instead of fighting Oscar a second time. He knew he lost the first time and was scared of losing again but Manny would press him and walk through his punches. Floyd just shut up and take 50-50 split and sign the damn contract

Yip he lost the 1st fight and would have list again, and I agree Manny would walk through him Floyd is not a big puncher and relys on his shoulder roll which would b non useless with pacquiao, for every1 to c this watch mayweather vs corley, the right hand of corley landed over and over he didn’t hav a clue how how 2 deal with it and he wouldn’t deal with mannys coz he is 2 fast and strong, that’s y Floyd has been puttn out these stupid demands coz he doesn’t want it,but let’s hope it does coz if it doesn’t its a shame for us boxing fans

Paul I don’t think you saw the Corley fight.. mayweather made easy work of Corley.. knocking him down twice officially in rounds 8 & 10, scoring a lopsided decision, 119-108 (twice) and 119-107

Floyd did lose the De La Hoya fight. The scoring was bad. Cotto hits harder than De La Hoya. There’s nothing in FLoyd’s arsenal that going to keep Cotto away. His pot shots score points but are not powerful shots, Cotto by TKO.

@kilo- Corley was not an elite fighter, ranked 8th or 9th in the Jr Welter division. Pacquiao would have walked all over him. Mayweather hit him so many times with the right but couldn’t put him down until late in the fight. Mayweather got hit often too. Neither fighter is a big puncher like Cotto and Pacquiao.
