Bradley not intimidated by Pacquiao

Undefeated American boxer Timothy Bradley Jr. is not in awe of his June 9 opponent, Filipino boxing icon Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao, who is widely regarded as the top pound-for-pound boxer in the world.

Bradley said he is not intimidated by the hype surrounding his fight against the Filipino superstar.

“It doesn’t matter. Manny Pacquiao is the biggest name in boxing, next to Floyd Mayweather. But it’s a name,” Bradley said.

“He’s a fighter. He’s a human being. He has skill; I have skill. I’m not like in awe when I see Manny Pacquiao,” he added.

Bradley claimed that their upcoming welterweight match-up will be “just another fight” to him.

“Take away all the cameras, all the attention, the media, put us in the ring and it’s a fight. It’s a fight to me,” he said.
But even if he is not in awe of the Filipino star, Bradley believes fighting Pacquiao will force him to be at his best.

“For Manny Pacquiao, I’m going to have to bring my ‘A’ game. It’s going to come out. It has to come out,” he said.

“I know what I’m capable of doing, because I have been pushed to that edge, to that limit. I know what I’m capable of doing. I know that I can compete with this guy. I think he’s going to bring the best out of me,” he added.

Although Bradley is undefeated (28-0, 12 knockouts), he is not a very well known fighter in the United States and this will be his most high-profile bout so far.

His most recent win came against Joel Casamayor in what was the main undercard bout of Pacquiao’s trilogy match against Juan Manuel Marquez last November.

Manny never got intimidated from anyone above
the ring! I believe the Pacman will bounce back
from his close fight with Marquez. Who knows after
knocking out Bradley, he might fight Sergio Martinez,
, Bam Bam Rios, Marquez and finally Mayweather. Then
he could retire as the greatest boxer of all times!
