Bradley may use Marquez’s tricks vs Pacquiao

American boxer Timothy Bradley Jr. may add some of Juan Manuel Marquez’s tricks to his arsenal when he faces Filipino ring icon Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao for their welterweight fight on June 9 in Las Vegas.

In an interview with RingTV, Bradley said he learned many lessons from the third bout between Pacquiao and Marquez last November in the MGM Grand.
Although Pacquiao walked away the winner via majority decision, Marquez gave him a much tougher fight than was expected, with the Mexican legend once again confusing Pacquiao with his superb counterpunching.
“The Marquez fight, it really showed me a lot,” Bradley said. “Marquez has the fine ability to frustrate and to counterpunch. Marquez was definitely able to lay back and to counterpunch and stuff like that.”

“He was able to isolate Pacquiao at times with solid counterpunching, and he was able to make Manny think in there,” he added.
Bradley said that Marquez’s game plan was successful, but he does not plan on completely copying the Mexican’s style.

“I bring my own flavor to the ring. I have my game plan, and I definitely know what worked for Marquez. I’m going to try to add some of that to my arsenal,” Bradley said.
“But at the end of the day, it’s going to be about my style, and what I’m planning to do. I have a plan, and my job is to go out and execute it, and if I can do that, then I’m going to be successful,” he added.
Bradley is undefeated through his first 28 professional bouts. He is coming off an eighth-round technical knockout victory against veteran boxer Joel Casamayor in the main undercard bout of the Pacquiao-Marquez III pay-per-view.
