Bob Arum Says Pacquiao’s Right Hand is Reason Mayweather Isn’t Fighting

Manny Pacquiao’s promoter Bob Arum says Floyd Mayweather will never fight Manny Pacquiao because the unbeaten champion is afraid of Pacquiao’s powerful right hand.

In the media day workout for Pacquiao at the Wild Card Gym in Hollywood, Arum said the long-awaited fight between Mayweather and Pacquiao can be made in 30 seconds if Pacquiao agrees to use his right hand only for jabs.

“It’s the right hand of Manny that is preventing that fight from happening. If Manny agreed just to jab with the right hand the fight would be made in 30 seconds”, Arum told reporters who covered Pacquiao’s media day.

“Once Manny demonstrated that fearsome right hand there was no chance ever that the fight would happen,” Arum said. “None. Don’t kid yourself. I know Mayweather, everything else is bulls—.”

Boxing fans believe Arum is just trying to agitate Mayweather to commit himself to a Pacquiao fight once the eight-division champion gets past Juan Manuel Marquez on November 12.

Arum and Pacquiao’s trainer Freddie Roach know that the long-awaited Pacquiao vs. Mayweather match is going to be a three-part series and it would be Pacquiao’s last fight before retiring to pursue a career in politics.

Mayweather has yet to react to Arum’s statements about Pacquiao’s deadly right hand which the promoter said is the reason for not committing to a Pacquiao fight.

Meanwhile, Philboxing’s Dr. Ed de la Vega said Pacquiao’s media day at the Wild Card Gym was well attended and the pound-for-pound king spent quality time with reporters and photographers.

The three-hour media day was capped by four rounds workout with Freddie Roach doing the mitts as well as the double speed bags for the media’s consumption.

In less than three weeks Pacquiao will face Mexican counter-puncher Juan Manuel Marquez in a trilogy on November 12 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nev.

Wow. That right hand is too powerful for any boxer right now! Couldn’t wait to see Manny use it on Marquez!

Both hand’s are all lethal, in the past he was known as a southpaw guy but as the years has passed, I could say MP is more complete. Go Manny knock this JMM,

Hello Leo !

Any time an article begins with ” Bob Arum says ” , you know it’s going to be filled with a great big pile of b.s.

Sure , he’s taunting Maweather , but this is a waste of space . Floyd has no regard for Arum , He once was in his stable , and couldn’t wait to get out from under him . Floyd knows all of Arum’s little tricks and stunts .

I could be wrong , but I think that Arum is milking Manny for every dime he can squeeze out of his @# 1 meal ticket , before he allows The Match to be made . I believe that Manny should step up on November 12th , after the fight , and tell The Merchant , ” I want Floyd Mayweather next !! ” .

If he comes out with that crap about ” I fight whoever my promoter chooses ” , then even the Pacquiao fans have to admit that THEIR guy is the Fraud .

November the 12th : WAIT AND SEE .

Ira, you and I know Arum and Mayweather have special talents in marketing and they will put up white lies to get you interested in a fight.

Binsoy, I think Manny’s left is still his lethal weapon. Arum is just taunting Floyd so he’ll get irritated though I know Pac had tried to really make use of his “newly refurbished” right hand whenever opportunity arises.

The NSUCK impotent drug testing commission shall be abolished and be replaced with the olympic style of drug testing.
So that all boxers will undergo the same standard perceived by the Mayweathers as an effective blood testing agency.
